Our 18 Year Old is one of our most awarded Single Malts and once you’ve tasted it you’ll understand the wealth of gold medals below. The deep mahogany colour of the whisky gives away the exclusive sherry cask maturation and the tang of salt on the tongue reminds you of our coastal location. With warehouses positioned along the shore and a bay fed by the Sound of Islay, there is no escaping the salty sea air, especially when you’re maturing by it for 18 years.

Distillerie Bunnahabhain

La distillerie Bunnahabhain, qui signifie « embouchure de la rivière » est située sur la rive nord d’Islay depuis plus de 125 ans, travaillant tranquillement à l’élaboration d’un whisky de malt d’Islay unique et distinctement doux. Contrairement à ses voisins insulaires, Bunnahabhain est un malt légèrement tourbé. Dotée de 4 alambics (2 wash stills, 2 spirit stills), ce sont les frères Greenlees qui entre 1881 et 1883 ont construit la distillerie sur le modèle d’un château bordelais.
